"A commitment necessary to lead to success!"
Commitment of Young Students and Their Families
To be admitted to the program, the children must volunteer and the parents must give their written consent for their children to participate.
As such, families will no longer be able to rely on their children for household income contribution.
This is an important decision for parents as it poses financial consequences for the entire family. Families and their children must also commit, respect and comply with the basic rules of HALMS which include consistent school attendance, abstention from drugs, alcohol and gambling and cease working in the dumpsite.
With the approval and commitment of their family, the young students undertake every effort to complete the academic preparation that will enable them to continue their studies and re-integrate into the DEPED public school system. Having family support is essential for the success of our students within the program.
